New SCC SLSC Website

E-mail Print

We have finally started on the new format website as you can see, and hope to have it all ready for the 09'/10' season.  This new "Joomla" based website will allow us to create a more dynamic website with up to date info and news.  Different club members will be able to contribute directly, and edit various pages in a more timely manner.  For example the Nipper managers will be able to login and update the Nippers page with the latest info throughout the season, or even put a notice here on the front page if nescesary.

There will be a few changes over the next few months as we get familar with how to get the most out of the new website tools, so a few things may move around a bit.  We are also very keen on suggestions and feedback....what would you find useful on the website....would you like to contribute?.  Please contact myself (Paul Jeffress This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The race has been run and won for this year.  Full info, results and the photo gallery are available on our dedicated web page click on the link over to the left under the Main Menu.

The "South Curl Curl Surf Lifesaving Club 'Ocean Swim'" was run on Sunday April 26th, 2009 - it's an approximately 2km swim from South Curl Curl Beach around the headland to Freshwater Beach. Swimmers were provided with a fantastic course taking in a small amount of reef, a small amount of blue water, but mostly sandy bottom. Spectators enjoyed practically 100% views of the swim as they followed along the new walkway built along the Curly headland. Once swim was completed the competitors joined their hosts back at the South Curly SLSC for a BBQ and presentations.
